A guide to the trends of Spring/Summer 2013

Ok, so the sun might not be shining just yet on our side of the world, but the stores are starting to stock up on all things gorgeous and summery. Not sure on what to wear when the weather gets warmer? Well look below to see my favourite items and trends for Spring/Summer 2013;

Denim;

Forget about your favourite wintertime pair of jeans, its time to stock up on all things patterned and colourful. Also light shades of blue are big this season with our current obsession of all things 90’s.

Dresses;

Celebrate the arrival of warmer days with a stunning dress. Pretty floral patterns are always a must have for the spring and summer.

Dip dye;

This trend is perfect for the wait in-between winter and spring. Adding a tiny bit of colour to your winter outfits is a great way to bring in spring and it will last throughout the summer. Also this trend is just super cool! Awesome :)

The traveller look;

Grab the prettiest patterns from foreign lands and look like you’ve travelled the world. Tribal prints and eastern flora's are as popular as ever for this seasons clothing with bright colours and interesting patterns to help you stand out from the crowd. Also look out for animal motifs.

Step back in time;

The best of the fashion from times before have inspired many to recreate the looks. The 90’s resurgence has been extremely popular throughout winter and it is set to do the same throughout SS13. Also look out for the effortless cool from the 70’s with paisley patterns and boho inspired pieces (my personal favourite!).

Black and white will be absolutely everywhere this spring and summer. Why wouldn’t you mix two staple colours together?
