One set of items that are always on my wish list at the moment are printed trousers. When it’s too cold to wear shorts and skirts you can’t help but wear jeans all the time, especially when you’re on a students budget (like me!), but gosh don’t jeans become boring after a while. why not add a splash of colour into your wardrobe with a pair of Aztec or Floral print trousers or go classy in monochrome with a black and white pair.

One of the things that makes us girls unhappy is never finding the clothes we love at affordable prices. It’s something we always struggle to find, so to help I have made a guide on how to stay fashionable on a budget. After reading this guide it will be possible after all!

Think Before You Buy

Before you make a purchase think about what you are buying. Do you really need it? You could wait a week before making a purchase and if it’s still on your mind then go ahead and buy it, if not then you probably don’t need it as much as you originally thought you did. Also it’s all too easy to buy an item of clothing just because it’s in a sale, so make sure you really like it and ask yourself whether you would consider buying it if it was selling at its full price. It’s a good idea not to be cruel to yourself as well. If you know that you can’t afford an item don’t try it on. It might be fun but you’re going to feel even sadder if it suits you perfectly and you just can’t afford it.

Sky Ferreira models for Forever 21

One of my modelling and musical favourites is now fronting Forever 21’s festival collection. Sky Ferreira is both a Model and Singer and will be performing at Coachella this year so the festival style is ideal for her to advertise at the moment. The photo shoot and the film (see below) were both shot at the Saguara Hotel in Palm Springs.  The Californian style is perfect for summer with pretty boho items and bright colours included in the collection.

Stream Peace’s brand new album ‘In Love’

‘In Love’ is the brilliant debut album from the English indie rock band Peace. This album has been on my wishlist ever since I first heard the gorgeous ‘California Daze’ and I’m not at all disappointed with it. Now I’ve got to resist not listening to it again before I buy it! The album will be released in the UK on the 25th of March. Pre-order it on Itunes or on the official site. But for now take a listen to the whole album at NME.

Your New favourite Artist: Melody’s Echo Chamber

When I think of Melody’s Echo Chamber I always get thoughts of a hazy summers day. Melody’s eponymous debut album, which was created together with Kevin Parker (Tame Impala) is a perfect piece of dream pop. But unlike other artists under that genre, it isn’t a boring album were all the songs sound all too similar. Melody’s Echo Chamber is something completely different. The album is hypnotic but also catchy in some instances with it’s fusion of psych-rock and sunshine pop. A perfect combination I think. It certainly is one of my favourite albums to come out of 2012.

Brand New Video: AlunaGeorge - Attracting Flies

Attracting flies is the brand new single from English duo AlunaGeorge. The music video was directed by Emili Nava and shows a modern and quite gritty take on the old fairytales we all know and love. I’m super excited to see how this charts after the success of their last single White Noise, a collaboration with electronic duo Disclosure.
